Rebecca Tamás, Strangers: Essays on the Human and Nonhuman

Really lovely and poignant collection of short essays on issues around the anthropocene, eco-feminism, eating animals, the presence of life in the nonhuman, climate change and climate grief, depression, states of perpetual becoming and blurring the boundaries of human and non-human in efforts to live more respectfully in and with the natural world.

Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami

Incredible feminist book about conflicted womanhood, motherhood, alternative relationships, female family relationships, sex, female bodies, creativity... really extraordinary.

And making me rather nostalgic for Japan...
